CS GOMOS

Chartered by Siemens Bros., to lay the following cable with CS Ambassador. Foundered during the laying, 204 nm of cable was also lost. A new cable was manufactured and CS La Plata was chartered from Henley’s. While en route La Plata foundered in the Bay of Biscay with the loss of 58 lives. Ambassador finally completed the laying.
