Introduction

This page concerns John Seymour's 1890 voyage, as Master of the SS Seine, to Penang & Madras to lay a submarine telegraph cable. The cable time-line page records a cable: "1891. Madras, India - Penang, Malaya. Telcon. Eastern Extension, Australasia & China Telegraph Co. Seine."
